In March 2013 I wrote to Karen Kneller, the CEO of the CCRC and told her what had happened at the harassment trial and how the mistake made by Ian Nichol had led to my imprisonment. I also told her about my political work. The CCRC did not admit a mistake had been made but agreed to reopen the case. I accepted this as I still had some faith in the British criminal justice system. I expected the case to be reviewed quickly and my convictions overturned.

The letter to Kneller included other documents including one that was a response to the 2011 rejection by Nichol. When the CCRC rejects an application the applicant has a couple of weeks in which to comment on the reasons for rejection. It wasn't worth sending in 2011 because the judgement was obviously wrong but for the record I included the response that should have been sent. It does a rather thorough demolition job on the reasons for rejection and so I have posted it here.
